Chocolate Peanut Butter Hummus (Refined sugar-free, dairy-free, gluten-free, vegan)

1 1/2 cups cooked chickpeas/garbanzo beans
3 T cocoa or cacao powder
3 T natural peanut butter (no oil, salt, or sugar added)
4 gooey Medjool dates or date syrup to taste
a small amount of aquafaba (liquid left in the can of chickpeas or after cooking them homemade) or any non-dairy milk to blend to right consistency
1/8 t of salt (optional)

Blend all ingredients until very smooth and chill before serving. Serve on baked whole wheat lavash crackers, whole grain bread, or even on apple slices!
